Stuart Macdonald
BMG Full Guide
Bio: I began climbing as a teenager in the UK, and first visited the Alps in 1992 aged 17. Climbing became an obsession, with every weekend and holiday taken up with trips to the mountains and crags. I have climbed around the world, from Antarctica to Greenland, and from Alaska to the Himalayas. Highlights for me would be first ascents in South Georgia, the North Face of the Eiger and standing on the summit of Mount Everest. After a career as an Army Officer I trained as a Guide 2005-2008 and have been based full time in Chamonix since 2007. I enjoy sharing my passion for the mountains with people, and hope to share it with you.
