Bio: Hello, I’m John Crook, a skier, climber and all round mountain lover. When I’m not searching out the next big adventure around the world, I spend my time between my homes in Chamonix and Wales. I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for the outdoors, with people of all ages and abilities. My aim is to inspire and encourage you to have some of the best adventures and experiences of your life. I can provide you with a safe and fun environment in which to see what the exciting world of skiing, climbing and mountaineering have to offer. Whether you want to learn new skills, achieve your dreams or just find your next big adventure, I’d love to help. Over the last 18 years John has enjoyed the full spectrum of climbing, honing his skills throughout the UK, the European Alps and throughout the world. Numerous big routes have been enjoyed, including the North face of the Eiger. This passion is contagious for anyone who agrees to spend time in the mountains with him. His thirst for adventure has lead to him exploring throughout the world to find those next big unclimbed objectives, from huge granite faces in Patagonia to dramatic virgin summits of the Himalayas. John is a passionate skier and great fun to be in the mountains with. Whether it’s searching out those fresh tracks or a big mountain line, you can always guarantee a smile on his face and your own! He’s skied big mountains in Canada and all over the Alps. The last 12 years has allowed John to share the joy and enthusiasm he has for the outdoors with many different people, from leading school groups in South America to guiding throughout the Alps and worldwide. In short he’s a people person who loves to share his knowledge and passion with others, staying solid and encouraging, but most importantly fun to be with.
