Rachel Kleiman

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

City: Santa Cruz

Province: CA

Bio: Rachel has always loved playing outdoors. In her childhood, she went hiking with her family and enjoyed scrambling up rocks, staring at trees, and looking for animals. Things got a little more serious when she starting backpacking in high school, then rock climbing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Science, and a M.S. degree in Environmental Science and Engineering. After graduating, she continues environmental science research remotely while traveling the US and abroad for rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing, and surfing. She now happily combines her passions for science, education, and outdoor sports as a guide and loves teaching people how to climb.
