Grant Hartman

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

Province: WA

Bio: First introduced to the outdoors riding in his parent’s backpack while ski touring and climbing mountains, Grant is partial to vertical sports on the rock but also loves the thrill of ice climbing, rafting, mountain biking, ski mountaineering, spelunking, and anything that allows him to spend time outside with others! When stuck inside, he loves teaching others how to climb at a gym and empowering them to recreate safely. Grant has volunteered for a number of years with search and rescue and responded to numerous emergencies. He recently finished his degree in mechanical engineering which he hopes to use in a humanitarian capacity to improve people’s lives, as well as a creative way to design new climbing equipment.
