Ben Pritchett
AMGA Ski Guide
City: Crested Butte
Province: CO
Bio: Ben is a soft-spoken mountain goat - preferring to spend his time near and above treeline. His lifelong curiosity with natural history accelerated early in life as he earned his degree in wildlife biology and ecology. In the summers, you'll find him on the ridges of the Elk Mountains or maybe riding singletrack with his kids, friends or clients. Ben forecasts avalanches for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC), and served 15 years as American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) Program Director. Ben carries an American Mountain Guides Association ski guide certification, Wilderness First Responder card, and plenty of chocolate!
