Bio: I grew up in Alaska, twin to the youngest of seven siblings. The great outdoors has been my playground for as long as I know. being an Alaskan, hunting and fishing are a big part of our culture and my life, since the age of six I've been a bow hunter. Ive called Fairbanks, AK home, but my first home was in the wilds of Alaska living in a teepee. yup that was my first year or so of life. my parents are awesome! I was happy to be involved with our dog team and going out on the Trap line with my Dad, taking the dogs out skijoring, putting on snow shoes with bunny boots, surviving in heatless shelters at -40f. And generally learning that fun isn't always the most comfortable thing at the time ; ) I loved climbing before ever knowing anything about rock climbing... trees, framing, buildings, shale cliffs of death... anything went. But in college I learned of climbing rocks and my world changed forever. While I've been busy as a general construction worker, climbing coach, and logger over the years. Every spare moment has been devoted to my pursuits in climbing, which have given me wonderful opportunities to see the country, and a couple others along the way, to meet so many wonderful people that will never be strangers again. If I could share the joy of movement and the beauty of the rocks and mountains with everyone.... what better life could I live? Maybe someday I will get to climb with you who are reading this now.
