Zebulon Jakub AMGA

AMGA Rock Instructor

City: North Conway

Province: NH

Bio: Starting as a climber as an 8 year old certainly gave me a head start to a life of climbing. In 9 th grade I decided to teach climbing full time. This pursuit led me to climbing very hard (5.13c/d, A4, and WI6+ before college). I then studied for 4 years and received a B.S. degree in Adventure Recreation from Green mountain College (2000; Deans List multiple times) and was trained in the AMGA techniques as a guide for the year of 1997 (Adv Rock Guide Course). I then started guiding and Instructing full time and have been ever since primarily in NH with IMCS but have certainly not been limited to New England. In my time as a guide I can certainly say that the progression of learning and becoming a better Instructor and smoother climber has been a constant and steady focus. As well as inventing and or modifying thought to be standard techniques in climbing and challenging them, to find a better, simpler way. Lastly over coming injuries and illness has slowed me down on some fronts, but has sped up the skills on others. I have also diversified from just climbing and have become a full time Kite boarding Instructor as well as paragliding instructor.
