AMGA Alpine Guide

City: Boulder

Province: CO

Bio: I come from a long background and varied career in the outdoor and guiding industry. I started my career working in outdoor education at such places as the Colorado Outward Bound School; WMI of NOLS; Cornell University’s Outdoor Education Program, and the Colorado Mountain College; and along with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ithaca College in Outdoor Education, I am able to bring a practical understanding and application of, not just high level guiding, but also instruction and facilitation in the mountain environment. Complementing these foundational skills, I was first a guide and then the Owner/Operator of Crested Butte Mountain Guides from 2007-2014, and along the way worked through the professional mountain guide training curriculum at the American Mountain Guides Association, and in 2014 became the 95th American to earn my IFMGA/UIAGM certification. Currently I still call Crested Butte, CO home, but I work and guide around the globe for my personal mountain guiding and photography company, Lotus Alpine Adventures. When not on a trip with Lotus Alpine, I can be found (depending on the season) working for such highly respected guide services as: Irwin Guides; Exum Guides; Alpine Ascents International; and Peak Mountain Guides.
