About
I grew up hiking and biking on the slopes Mt Tamalpais. Backpacking the Sierra with my step Father Albert Saijo, Discovered where I felt at "home" Lucky high school brought the opportunity to travel in the mountains, choose my interests, and follow my passions. I received credits for presentations on Backcountry skiing, backpacking trips, and practicing Aikido. Graduation and working as a river guide brought me to want to ski guide in the winters. In 1980 I began working with Bela and Mimi Vadasz at Alpine Skills International and I have be guiding and instructing ever since. In 2006 I began working for the AMGA Instructor team working in the ski discipline. Winters take me to Hokkaido and springs back to the High Sierra. Hope to see you out there!
