Doug Brown AMGA

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

City: Apison

Province: GA

Bio: Born in Denver Colorada, I learned to climb in Boulder when I was in 5th grade. When I was 13 my family moved to Oregon where I took up Alpine Climbing and started "guiding" when I was 14. Through high school and college I pursued my love for rock climbing and mountaineering. In 2014 I became a certified Single pitch instructor. Now I teach Outdoor Leadership at Southern Adventist University and get to teach both rock climbing and mountaineering. When I was a guiding at 14 and 15 I had no idea where my dreams would take me. I believe God has led me to what I do now to help shape the lives of others to help them embrace the good in all people. I am so blessed to get to work in the outdoors and experience God's transformitive power in the lives of the young adults I am privileged to work with.
