Bio: Ian has been guiding more than a decade and is an IFMGA/American Mountain Guide. Ian loves sharing his passion of the mountains and his positive enthusiasm and encouragement is known to help people to achieve goals and have more fun than they thought possible in the mountains. Ian has been climbing and back-country skiing for more than 15 years has ascended more than a half dozen new routes in his home range of the Cascades as well as opened new routes in farther off regions like the Alaska Range, Patagonia and the Waddington Range. Ian authored the local guide book; SuperTopo: Washington Pass Climbing, writes regularly for OutdoorGearLab.com and occasionally for other publications like Climbing Magazine.
