Jim began to climb in 1992, and since then the sport has taken him all over the US and beyond- to the Alps, Alaska, Antarctica, Patagonia, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, and Norway. Jim is an MIT-trained biologist with a passion for travel, teaching, and Scrabble. AIARE Avalanche Instructor and AMGA-certified Rock Instructor. Speaks English, Spanish, and French.
