City: Noida Sector 137

Province: UP

Bio: Prerna is a professional climber who’s pushing the limits on rock, ice and everything in between. Based out of Delhi, she works as an outdoor guide and is supported by Mishmi Takin. Her nine years of vertical outdoor experience has been gained in several locations across the world but for her, the ultimate goal is the Himalayas. As an aspiring alpinist she is constantly working to grow as an all round climber and has delved in all aspects of climbing - high mountains, to competitions, to frozen waterfalls, to hard sport grades and bouldering. She is actively contributing to foster a strong climbing culture and community in India with emphasis on getting more women into the sport and outdoors through the organisation Climb Like A Woman. She also plays a key role in the community lead initiative Piti Dharr Ice Climbing Festival. As an Ambassador to the social enterprise, Eco Femme, she advocates healthy and sustainable menstrual practices in the remote villages around places she visits for climbing. Climbing gives her the courage to chase after all things that seem hard whether they are scary routes or stereotypes, a lesson she loves sharing with others along the way"
