Franz Buzawa AMGA

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

City: Brooklyn

Province: NY

Bio: When I started climbing more than 25 years ago, gyms weren’t much of a thing. Back then community was the key to learning and the center of activity was the crag, or in my case the Uberfall at the Gunks. Fellow climbers mentored each other; it was a right of passage—as you developed and learned new skills, the more responsibility you had to pass that knowledge on. That ethos of sharing experiences and expertise is what most influences my current climbing practice at the same time that it reinforces my connection to the climbing community and the outdoors.
