Andew Deal
AMGA Single Pitch Instructor
City: Fort Smith
Province: AR
Bio: My name is Andrew (Andy) Deal. I have been climbing recreationally for over 21+ years and am certified by the American Mountain Guide Association as a single pitch instructor. I work with Future School High School to provide them with an outdoor education program. Proceeds from trips go to help the high school program and eliminate barriers to entry into the outdoors thus introducing kids to the outdoors that otherwise would not venture into them. I work closely with the local Boy Scouts to improve their programing and ensure the adult leaders have the latest and best training. I have a BS degree from Indiana University in Outdoor Recreation and Resource management. Currently I serve as a member of the Fort Smith Parks Commission and a member of the Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals. Most importantly I have maintained a long history of group development though outdoor initiatives. I pride myself in using my years experience working with groups in order to create an experience that is both personal and professional. This is not your buddies teaching style, this is years of experience and focus on becoming a better instructor everyday.
